Joint Belarusian-German contest of research projects “Partnership for Research in the Field of Sustainable Development”

The State Committee on Science and Technology of the Republic of Belarus (hereinafter SCST) and the Federal Ministry of Education and Science of Germany (hereinafter BMBF), which are the successors under the above-mentioned international treaty, announce a pilot joint Belarusian-German Contest of Research Projects to support joint research and development in the field of sustainable development in 2019-2021 within the Joint Statement on the Organization of Scientific and Technical Cooperation between the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Belarus and the Federal Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Technology of the Federal Republic of Germany of March 18, 1996.
The subject area of the contest:

  • Use of local agricultural fuel (biogas and biomass) and a processing of agricultural waste;
  • Biotechnology for agriculture and forestry;
  • Ecology, biodiversity and environmental protection with a focus on the forest.

Applications for the contest are accepted by April 5, 2019.

The SCST asks to submit the applications for a competitive selection in accordance with the Regulations on International Scientific and Technical Projects implemented within international treaties of the Republic of Belarus, approved by the Enactment of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus no. 1065 of August 13, 2003. We remind you that the application must contain:

  • written obligations of the state customer and / or other interested in the practical use of the results of research and development obtained during the implementation of the project (for applied projects);
  • a copy of the cooperation agreement with a foreign partner organization.

At the same time, we inform that in accordance with the Enactment of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus of May 22, 2015 no. 431 “On the Functioning of the Unified System of State Scientific and State Scientific and Technical Expertise”, in order to hold a state scientific and technical expertise, an act of the departmental expertise must be submitted to the SCST (the organization implementing the project).

Please send the completed forms with a cover letter from the state customer of the project to the State Committee for Science and Technology by April 5, 2019 in printed (in triplicate) and electronically in pdf-format (with recognition).
