First meeting of Committee for Common Scientific and Technological Space Formation of Union State to be held in Minsk

The first meeting of the Committee for the Common Scientific and Technological Space Formation of the Union State will be held Minsk on November 15, 2017. Alexander Shumilin, Chairman of the State Committee on Science and Technology of the Republic of Belarus informed the portal www.soyuz.by about this. ‘We created a Committee for the Common Scientific and Technological Space Formation of the Union State together with the Russian Federation. We have a preliminary agreement with the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia, according to which we are going to hold the first meeting of this Committee in Minsk on November 15. We will directly discuss the further implementation of projects, mechanisms and areas of cooperation within the Union State,’ Alexander Shumilin said.
He also noted that the meeting of the CIS Interstate Council for Cooperation in Science, Technology and Innovation, which will be held on October 19-20 in Yerevan, will be dedicated to the topic of the scientific and technical cooperation. ‘There we will harmonize the implementation of joint projects in the CIS countries and, naturally, within the Union State’ the Chairman of the State Committee on Science and Technology of Belarus stressed.
