2017 Return back
The implementation of an innovative project on the production of high-precision high-strength cast-iron molding will reduce the cost of manufactured products, create diesel engines that meet the best world analogues, and also solve the problem of import substitution. This was announced by Alexander Shumilin, Chairman of the State Committee on Science and Technology of the Republic of Belarus, during his visit to the branch of OJSC "Management Company of the Minsk Motor Plant" in Stolbtsy. The visit took place within the monitoring projects of the State Program for Innovative Development for 2016-2020.
Alexander Shumilin also noted that the reaching of the designed capacity of production will not only enable to fully meet the demand of the Minsk Motor Plant in cast iron, but also export about 20% of its products to the countries of the near and far abroad.
Currently, the company is implementing a serial delivery of blanks "cylinder block sleeve". More than 78 thousand pieces were produced during 9 months of this year.
All the necessary construction and assembly works have already been completed, and energy carriers (natural gas, electric power are compressed air) have been conducted according to the second start-up complex (a section of small cast iron casting series by the technology of cold hardening mixtures). The work on the manufacturing and installation of the non-standard equipment is underway.
The OJSC “Management Company of the Minsk Motor Plant” implements a project “Development and Adoption of Production of Small-Capacity Diesel Engines with a Capacity of up to 75 Horsepower” within the State Program of Innovative Development of the Republic of Belarus for 2016-2020.
