Belarus and Kazakhstan plan to organize joint production of unmanned systems

Belarus and Kazakhstan plan to intensify scientific, technical and innovative cooperation and interaction in the field of unmanned systems. Such an agreement was reached at a meeting of the Chairman of the State Committee for Science and Technology of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Shumilin with the leadership of the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The Belarusian side is ready, along with the supply of unmanned systems, to organize their joint production in Kazakhstan.
SCST Chairman Alexander Shumilin said that the high level of scientific and technical resources of the two countries, as well as the coincidence of the national priorities of Belarus and Kazakhstan in many areas of fundamental and applied research, contribute to constructive bilateral cooperation. He also noted that in the conditions of intensive development of new technologies in the world, priority for both sides is the deepening of cooperation in the field of high technologies - information technology, biotechnology, bioorganic chemistry, pharmacy, materials science, optics, laser physics, and thermal physics.
At present, the scientific organizations of Belarus and Kazakhstan are carrying out two joint scientific and technical projects and three pilot innovation projects as part of the Interstate Program of Innovative Cooperation of the CIS Member States for the period until 2020. Bilateral scientific and technical cooperation between the countries is carried out in accordance with the agreement of June 3, 1999.
