Belgi plans to release new models of Geely cars

2020 Return back

At the beginning of 2021, Belgi plans to release a new Geely GS model and complete the Atlas PRO model localization. This was discussed at the meeting between the Chairman of the State Committee on Science and Technology of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Shumilin and the management of the automobile plant. In addition, operational tests of electric vehicles will continue with their subsequent adaptation to the Belarusian market.

This year, the car plant has mastered the production of Geely Coolray on a full cycle. The car boasts a modern turbocharged engine developed jointly by Volvo Cars and Geely Motors and a robotic gearbox with a double clutch and an oil bath. All fastening work for the engine compartment and the underside of the vehicle is carried out manually using an adaptive welding system manufactured by Bosch. However, automatic equipment provides a 100% quality guarantee - the program adjusts the parameters of the current strength and exposure, adjusts them to the ideal level. To this end, the welding workshop uses 31 sets of clamps, 24 sets of technological equipment from the renowned automotive equipment manufacturer Jee and 27 high-precision welding robots from the German manufacturer KUKA. With the help of the MES system, the production process of the entire enterprise is automated, as well as a statistical analysis of production, which allows you to control the implementation of the production plan and improve dispatching.

“The use of robotic systems in production is always effective. This is a 100% guarantee of product quality, as well as production flexibility in accordance with the Industry 4.0 concept," said Alexander Shumilin. He also drew attention to the fact that the use of automation and control systems ensures a high level of safety of the production line that meets modern international standards.
