More than 100 applications were submitted for the Republican competition of innovative projects

More than 100 applications were submitted for the Republican competition of innovative projects, including 60 applications in the nomination «The best youth innovative project». The largest number of applications was received in the areas of «Informatics, Informatization and Space Research» (23%), «Ecology» (18%) and «Medical Sciences and Technologies» (15%). The numbers are not final, as applications for the competition are accepted until September 30.

It should be noted that in 2021 the Republican competition for innovative projects will be held according to new rules. Now innovative projects of various stages of implementation can participate in the competition. In addition to legal entities and individuals, individual entrepreneurs can also apply. In the nomination "The best youth innovative project", you can submit a feasibility study, which has a simplified structure in comparison with the business plan.

This year, in addition to the two main nominations: «The best innovative project» and «The best youth innovative project», there will be additional ones. In particular, the nominations «The best innovative project in the media» (National State TV and Radio Company of the Republic of Belarus), «The best youth innovative project in the territories recovering from the Chernobyl accident» (UN Development Program in the Republic of Belarus), «The best youth engineering and technological project» (Science and Technology Park BNTU «Polytechnic»).

The republican competition for innovative projects has been held since 2010. It acts as a platform to support the start-up movement and small innovative entrepreneurship in the country. Within the framework of the competition, socially significant innovative projects are considered that correspond to the priority areas of scientific and technical activities in the Republic of Belarus. The competition is held in the nominations «Best innovative project» and «Best youth innovative project». Participants of the competition independently choose which category the innovation project they represent belongs to. The winners and prize-winners of the competition are awarded with diplomas and prizes: for the first place - 86 basic units (2,494.00 rubles); for the second place - 57 basic units (1,653.00 rubles); for the third place - 29 basic units (841.00 rubles). Among the winners and prize-winners, the competition council selects projects for further commercialization of their results, which will receive a certificate for receiving funds in the amount of 571 base units (16,559.00 rubles).
