Belarus and the Republic of Korea to discuss prospects of cooperation in high-tech industries

The Belarusian delegation headed by Alexander Shumilin, Chairman of the State Committee on Science and Technology, is on a visit to Seoul, the Republic of Korea, where the second meeting of the Joint Belarusian-Korean Working Group on Science and Technology is scheduled. The agenda of the visit also includes the meetings and negotiations with the Minister of Science, ICT and Advanced Planning of the Republic of Korea, the leaders of scientific and innovative organizations (Samsung Electronics, the Institute for Science and Technology Promotion, the Korean Energy Research Institute, the National Research Foundation, Korean Institute for Advanced Research and Technology , Pang technological park, the Korean Academy of Science and Technology, Dongsung Pharm, the Korean Importer Association, Hanwha Corporation and the Korean Institute of Scientific and Technological Information). The issues of the improvement of  bilateral relations, the holding of joint scientific and technical activities, the mutual technology transfer and supplies of Belarusian high-tech products to the Republic of Korea will be discussed during the event. In particular, it is expected to discuss the issues of supply of medicines, medical equipment, microelectronics, Belarusian equipment for scientific organizations, non-destructive testing devices, polymers for 3D printing and dosimetry monitoring devices for nuclear facilities to the Republic of Korea.

Following the visit, it is expected to sign a number of protocols and contracts for the implementation of scientific-technical and innovation projects and the supply of high-tech goods.
