The Higher School of Economics holds the 20th meeting of the Interstate Council for Cooperation in the Field of Science, Technology and Innovation. The Belarusian side, presented by Alexander Shumilin, Chairman of the State Committee on Science and Technology, participates in the meeting. The agenda of the meeting provides for fifteen issues, including the implementation of the Interstate Program for Innovative Cooperation of the CIS member states for the period until 2020 and the implementation of interstate scientific and technical innovation projects. In addition, it is expected to consider the results of the work of the non-profit partnership "Interindustry Union of Nanoindustry" and the basic organization of the CIS member states "The International Innovation Center for Nanotechnologies of the CIS" (IICN CIS), discuss the prospects for interaction between the subjects of the innovation infrastructure of the Commonwealth member states.
The Interstate Council for Cooperation in the Area of Science, Technology and Innovation was established on November 20, 2009 by the decision of the Council of CIS Heads of Government. Its functions include the coordination of scientific and technical and innovation policies in general and its individual components, the formation of financial and economic mechanisms in the states to support joint programs and projects in this field. ICCSTI is the Supervisory Board of the Interstate Program for Innovative Cooperation of the CIS Member States for the period until 2020. The main goals and objectives of the Program is an integration of intellectual, scientific and technological, production and financial potentials of the CIS member states.
