The National Scientific and Technical Library and the National Intellectual Property Center signed an agreement on the establishment of the Technology and Innovation Support Center in the Republic of Belarus (TISC) on the basis of the library. The document was signed by Raisa Sukhorukova and Peter Brovkin, the heads of the departments. The main objective of the TISC is to increase the effectiveness of disseminating knowledge on the issues of legal protection of intellectual property results and the holding of the patent research.
The Technology and Innovation Support Center will provide the access to the patent and non-patent databases of WIPO, NIPC and other free information resources in the field of intellectual property. It will also assist in the holding of patent searches. It is also expected that TISC will teach the skills of patent and non-patent search and provide general information on legislation in the field of intellectual property.
