Belarus and Moldova implement 20 joint scientific and technical projects, including 15 ones for BRFFR, 4 ones for HORIZON 2020 and 1 project for Erasmus Mundus. This was announced at the meeting of the joint Belarusian-Moldavian commission for cooperation in the field of science and technology by Alexander Shumilin, Chairman of the State Committee on Science and Technology of the Republic of Belarus. According to him, each of the projects of the scientific and innovative cooperation can be developed into joint ventures and enterprises in the future.
During the meeting, the parties approved the executive program of the bilateral scientific, technical and innovative cooperation for 2018 - 2019 and determined priority areas for joint activities. Medicine and pharmacy, agricultural technologies and biotechnologies, nanotechnologies, ICT, engineering, new materials, energy, ecology and environmental protection are among them.
The meeting of the joint Belarusian-Moldavian commission for cooperation in the field of science and technology is held in Minsk on June 5, 2017. The Belarusian part of the commission is represented by Alexander Shumilin, Chairman of the State Committee on Science and Technology, and the Moldovan part is presented by Duka Gheorghe, President of the Academy of Sciences.
