The CEI Ministerial Conference on Science and Technologies "Biotechnologies for Healthy and Active Life in the CEI Region" will be held in Minsk on October 26, 2017.
The goals of the Conference include:
the resumption of the dialogue of high-level experts on the current state and prospects for the cooperation in the field of STI in the CEI region;
the discussion of the possibility of expanding the cooperation in the field of STI in such areas as biological pharmacy and biotechnology for agriculture, as well as the role of business in it;
the development of proposals for specific projects in the interests of the region that could be proposed for the implementation of the European Commission and investors;
the promotion to the formation of the CEI agenda for 2018-2020, as well as the bilateral cooperation between member states in the field of STI.
The conference will be attended by: the ministers of CEI member states and other high-level officials responsible for the development of science, technology and innovation, as well as health, agriculture and food industry and the representatives of the European Commission, the EBRD, other international organizations and donors and investors.
Representatives of scientific research centers, universities and business, non-governmental organizations working in the field of biological pharmacy and biotechnology for agriculture are welcome to participate.
Languages: English and Russian. The simultaneous interpretation is provided.
The possible forms of participation are the participation with a report and without a report. It is possible to include a small number of speeches of two types in the agenda of the Conference:
the reports of a review and / or problematic nature (for example, on the state of development of biotechnologies for agricultural needs in Belarus);
presentations of project ideas that could be proposed for the implementation in the CEI region using tools available in the CEI, EU and other integration associations for supporting international projects.
Due to the limited number of seats, the organizers reserve the right to regulate the number of participants and, if the hall is filled, to stop registration earlier than the indicated date. The confirmation of participation will be sent to the applicants after the registration is over.
